This project reimagined South Korea’s currency with a focus on symbolic unity, cultural heritage, and enhanced security. I replaced historical figures with significant native animals on the front and their habitats on the back, aligning each bill’s imagery and color with its meaning—for example, the Siberian tiger and Red Pine Tree paired with a bold red to symbolize strength and passion. A traditional Korean Dancheong pattern provided visual cohesion, while a See-Through Register featuring the Taegeuk symbol from the national flag created a backlit Yin-Yang effect. To preserve authenticity, I retained Hangul for all text and denominations, ensuring the design remained deeply rooted in South Korea’s linguistic and cultural identity.
